A new medium of expression is a concrete
mixture. I make lawn ornamentation and hanging pieces for interior
and exterior applications. The interior pieces are used functionally
for hanging keys by a back door and you can see illustrations
of jewelry hangers (necklaces).
I have also made planters for outside
and sculptures for garden beds. The birdbaths are my newest
work and birds really seem to enjoy them. The concrete is a
seasonal artwork because of the toxins in the cement and I am
forced to work outside and quickly during the summer season.
The concrete pieces can be left out in the winter, however,
the birdbaths cannot or the tops need to be turned upside down
so that water cannot collect in the bath area.
